Crysis Mapping Contest Winners Announced
Crytek and Intel started a mapping contest, hosted by Crymod, in January 2008, and all the Crysis mappers attempted to create some special maps. The categories of maps to be made were:
- IntelĀ® Performance and Visibility
- Fun and gameplay
- Creativity
- Best Cutscene
The best maps in each category were announced today, and here are the winners: (You can click on a picture to enlarge it and see the names of the winners.)

The winners will all receive a Crysis-branded T-Shirt and Lanyard, not including all of the great prizes they earned for scoring in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. Crymod will be hosting more contests like this in the future, and you can stay updated on them here at The Pxl Lab.
Crysis vs. Reality Contest Results
Crymod, the official modding website for Crysis, held a contest to see who could recreate a real life image in Crysis. The top 3 were chosen and announced yesterday, and I went ahead and grabbed the images for your viewing enjoyment. If you would kindly tilt your head slightly downwards…
