Note: There is a newer version of DirectX available.
Microsoft released a new version of DirectX yesterday, the newest release since March 2008. DirectX, for those of you who don’t know, is what developers use to help power games on Windows-based computers, and DirectX 10.1, which is the latest version on the market, allows things in-game like motion blur, god rays, and other sweet effects. If you are currently having any problems with your games, upgrading to the latest version of DirectX is always a good way to try and fix it.

EA isn’t very well known for their customer support. It looks like they might be attempting to improve their image by releasing a patch for a game that only has hardcore players left, one that admittedly has some great new features. Some of the better ones are:
- 2 new maps – Wake Island 2142 and Operation Shingle by The Sir. Community and Jason Brice, respectively.
- Widescreen support.
- Added “No Vehicles” mode.
- Added “Conquest Assault” mode.
- Added volume control for Commander, as requested by the eSports community.
- A better cheating prevention system.
I haven’t played 2142 for a few months now, but this patch may just make me pull out my CD to play it a bit more. I am also a bit biased in that I am a member of The Sir. Community, but anybody who has played Wake Island 1942/2007 will know that the 2142 iteration of this map will likely become one of the most played maps online. Now, for the download links.

Hello again everyone. I write with the news that I recently did a small touch-up on
the spy skin in Team Fortress 2 (an excellent online cartoon FPS made by Valve). The skin isn’t anything much, just a new camo tie that I thought was desperately needed (I mean, who wants a plain old striped tie anyways?). I tried to give a fancy beard too, but the game won’t show it for whatever reason even though it shows up in the redone skin. So, without further ado, I present to you the download for the skin (I hope you’ve looked at it on the right side by now to see if you’ll love it or just freak out in it’s pure awesomeness).
