Super Smash Bros. Brawl – The Best in the Series?
Overview of the Game:
The Super Smash Bros. series has gone though three games now, and the main question left to ask is, after a few months of playing, is Super Smash Bros. Brawl standing up to the legacy created by the original and Melee? Being a gamer, I have played the other games as well, and I have to say, the highlight of the series was Melee. It was one heck of a great game, with the least amount of flaws in the series. If you have played Brawl then you have probably asked yourself, “How many people do I truely see playing as characters such as Bowser, Princess Peach, Wario, Caption Falcon, or Jigglypuff?” The reasons behind people not playing as these characters is because of the lack of even game play between characters.

Photoshop Tutorial Mini-Series Introduction
There are very many types of art. According to dictionary.com, art is the quality, production, expression, or realm, according to aesthetic principles, of what is beautiful, appealing, or of more than ordinary significance. What that means in plain terms is that art is an expression of a person, who creates a work that is pleasing to the eye, or is perhaps odd, out of place, but it is something that draws a person to it! I would like to introduce graphic design, which is the production of art using electronic devices, such as a computer, or in this case, Adobe Photoshop. Adobe was founded in 1982, and some of their main products are computer programs used to aid graphic designers. Their most famous program is called Adobe Photoshop, a graphic design editor program, who’s current version at the time of this writing is CS3.
Photoshop works in a very unique way. Picture Microsoft Paint, but way better, with way more options, and way more tools to create the artwork. But Photoshop is also a lot more expensive, and the current version is running at the upwards of $800 with a discount. The good news is that on Ebay, you can usually find a copy of Photoshop 7 for around $150 – $200. At this time Adobe has shut down all their trials, however, so unless you have the extra cash, or the access to the program through friends, you’re going to miss out.
Once you obtain the program, there are a million tools, so you better start familiarizing yourself with them! Play around with all of the stuff, messing around on blank documents, making sure you understand the program and how it works before you actually use it. I will be doing a mini-series on specific Photoshop tutorials, and some tips and tricks along with it. The tutorials I review should be very easy to follow, for beginners only, to help those who just started who have no idea where to go or what to do. If you don’t even know how to open a document (which you should, honestly), I’ll tell you how to do it. Don’t get frustrated if you cannot figure something out, just ask ask me in a comment and I’ll see what I can do to help. Just have fun with it, and be creative!
